HALL

MEDIATIONS

Our Story

Originally set up as a private trust fund in year 1999, the Mudgeeraba Foundation has evolved to now be a Public Benevolent Institution, registered with the Australian Charities and Not For Profits Commission (ACNC) with more targeted charitable objects.

Our Foundation’s present charitable objects are more discriminating against for-profit businesses hiring our hall, rather favouring vulnerable and disadvantaged groups who need a hall and/or mediation centre, but cannot afford market rates to pay for them.

Gold Coast City Council

The Gold Coast is Australia’s sixth largest city. It is home to over 635,000 people. We are a city known for our lifestyle and diversity, with almost one in three residents born overseas.

The city boasts close to one million visitors each year from countries all over the world. With a vibrant arts and culture scene, a beautiful natural environment and world-class tourism attractions, we also have a proud history and a heritage to preserve and protect for future generations.

Over Indigenous locals are descendants of the traditional Aboriginal people of the region. Some have moved to the Gold Coast from other regions around Australia. We collaborate with our local Indigenous community to document their history and culture and share it with everyone.

Shifting Tides Counselling and Mediation

Dee Hardy, Counsellor and Accredited Mediator

It is a beautiful thing when a career and a passion come together | To be so blessed

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing the transformative power of counselling and mediation. Clients entrust me with their stories, and together, we are able to navigate through challenges, unearth solutions, and adopt positive change. This collaborative process has not only shaped my professional journey but has also reinforced my belief in the resilience of the human spirit.

As a Mediator/ Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, (registered with the Attorney Generals Department | Issuing of 60i Certificate) I employ a personalized and adaptable methodology that ensures my clients receive tailored support, nurturing a deeper connection and more effective outcomes for their parenting and property matters.

Shifting Tides has developed a program to ‘consciously uncouple’ through bespoke reunification therapy and co-parenting programs, that supports families at every stage of their relationship challenges.

As I reflect on my years of business and experiential learning, I am grateful for the opportunities to contribute to the well-being of others. My journey has been marked by continuous learning, refinement of skills, and a steadfast commitment to providing empathetic and effective counselling and mediation services.
